Inchicore Athletic under 14s were in the road today as the took on st maelrans was always going to be a tough task with the weather conditions but inchicore were up for it. With the wind against them in the first half inchicore were finding it hard to get out of there half.but with a great true ball by leon Gannon opened up the defence and a great finish by Jamie Harris inchicore were 1-0 up. The lead was not held onto for long as a ball played straight down the middle caught inchicore off looked offside but nothing was given the pressure was mounting on the inchicore defence and the wind was getting worse and with only a couple of minutes to half time st maelrans took the lead with some sloppy defending. The second half started better for inchicore with the wind now in there favour and it only took a couple of minutes to get the equaliser as a powerful shot from Jamie Harris was to much for the keeper to handle. Inchicore were growing into the game and had lots of possession and we finally took the lead as a look searching ball by goalkeeper Daniel took all the defence out for evan to slide past the keeper. Inchicore 3-2 up but there was still loads of time for more goals and inchicore Athletic new that and a long ball over the top but Brandon true on goal and he took his chance with a great finish. With inchicore 4-2 up with 5 mins to go a long ball over the top for st maelrans put them true on goal and with only 4 minutes to goal inchicore were winning 4-3 inchicore Athletic held out strong for the last few minutes and came away with the win. Inchicore under 14s have now win 8 games from 8 and sit top of the table.
